ABOUT ME

I’m Lebon Igwabi, an Australian cinematographer with a deep passion for cinema, cameras, light and visual storytelling.

 

My love for filmmaking comes from a genuine fascination with the image — how a lens can change the way we see something, how light can completely transform a space, and how a simple frame can communicate an emotion without saying a word.

 

Over the years, I’ve developed my experience through hands-on filmmaking and cinematography, continually pushing myself to understand the craft at a deeper level. I’m constantly studying films, experimenting with lighting, exploring different cameras and lenses, and looking for new ways to create images that feel intentional and cinematic.

 

For me, cinematography is more than making something look good. It’s about creating a visual language that supports the story and gives the audience something to feel.

 

I approach every project with curiosity, attention to detail and a genuine respect for the filmmaking process. Whether I’m working with a director, collaborating with a creative team or developing something of my own, my goal is always the same — to create images that are meaningful, memorable and true to the story.

 

I love cinema. I love cameras. And most importantly, I love the process of turning an idea into an image.
